About Roaming Acres Farm
Roaming Acres farm, located in Sussex County, New Jersey, raises Ostrich, Bison, Berkshire Hogs, and Pasture-raised Chicken. The farm was founded by Todd Appelbaum who began in the ostrich industry in 1993. He bought his first pair of breeders and has never looked back. Todd has always been a farmer at heart. He was raised in Paramus New Jersey but knew from a young age that farming had to be a part of his life. He made it his full-time business in 2007. He hopes that one day his sons may take over the business.
Todd moved his farm from Andover, New Jersey to its current location in 2012. Owning this farm has given him the opportunity to grow. Todd provides quality meats and pet products to consumers and distributers. He sells his products at some of the top Farmer’s Markets in New York and New Jersey and of course, online through his website. Todd is a Board Member of the American Ostrich Association, https://www.ostriches.org/. His pork is certified by the American Berkshire Association, https://www.americanberkshire.com/new-jersey.html, and he is a member of the National Bison Association, https://bisoncentral.com.
